El eCall ya es obligatorio<\/h2>\n

Obligatorio.<\/h3>\n

Desde el 31 de marzo, todos los turismos y furgonetas de nueva homologaci\u00f3n deber\u00e1n equipar obligatoriamente el sistema de llamada de emergencia autom\u00e1tica eCall. Esta llamada es gratuita y tiene cobertura en toda Europa. El sistema se activa autom\u00e1ticamente cuando saltan los airbags, estableci\u00e9ndose una comunicaci\u00f3n de voz con el centro 112. Lleva un indicador que identifica claramente que se trata de una llamada eCall, d\u00e1ndole la m\u00e1xima prioridad. \u00abUna de sus caracter\u00edsticas m\u00e1s importantes\u00bb<\/em>, destaca Ana Blanco, subdirectora de circulaci\u00f3n de la DGT y copresidenta de la Plataforma Europea de Implementaci\u00f3n del eCall.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n pueden generar esta llamada manualmente el conductor o alguno de los ocupantes del veh\u00edculo, con solo pulsar el bot\u00f3n SOS que llevan los veh\u00edculos equipados con el sistema.<\/p>\n

Al Operador le llegan la informaci\u00f3n con el lugar exacto en el que se ha producido el accidente, el tipo de veh\u00edcuo, con su matr\u00edcula, marca, modelo y tipo de combustible -si es el\u00e9ctrico o de gasolina, por ejemplo-, entre otros. \u00abUnos datos esenciales<\/em> -explica Blanco-, porque facilitan la labor a los servicios de rescate, que saben desde el primer momento que medios deben llevar <\/em>\u00ab.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan la consultora GMV, se estima que el eCall tiene el potencial de salvar 2.500 vidas al a\u00f1o en Europa cuando est\u00e9 introducido en todos los veh\u00edculos, as\u00ed como reducir la gravedad de las secuelas en los heridos por accidentes de tr\u00e1fico entre un 10 y un 15%.<\/p>\n

El 112 es gratuito, funciona las 24 horas del d\u00eda y 365 d\u00edas al a\u00f1o y permite la localizaci\u00f3n de la llamada. Al marcarlo, la red GSM (Sistema Global para comunicaciones m\u00f3viles) pasa la llamada al centro de emergencia m\u00e1s pr\u00f3ximo. Este servicio es accesible desde cualqueir tel\u00e9fono fijo o m\u00f3vil. Desde un m\u00f3vil, incluso aunque est\u00e9 bloquedo o sin introducir el n\u00famero PIN y sin cobertura.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
